Daniela P.
Daniela Acosta Parsons is a visual artist and historian based in Bogotá. Through drawing, painting, and sculpture, she creates worlds populated by rabbits, bodies, shadows, and uncanny atmospheres that explore memory, pain, illness, loneliness, and our difficulty understanding and living with one another. Her work emerges from a question about what remains beyond our reach, and about art’s ability to bring us closer to what words cannot explain. Her images invite us to pause, recognize something of ourselves, and look again at what we thought we knew. She has received awards and grants in Colombia and abroad, and her work is part of the Banco de la República Art Collection. From her Bogotá studio, she develops new work and welcomes collectors who want to discover her universe, her process, and the stories behind each piece.
