Camilo B.
My name is Camilo Bojaca. I am an artist who was born in a town called Sogamoso; this place has been the source of many of the interests I have explored in my work. There's almost nothing I can't do without music; I'd say I'm a music lover. While I'm drawing or engaged in any creative process, I usually have music playing in the background. I also love movies and books, which fuel my interests and projects. The environment where I grew up had a profound impact on me. Sogamoso is a small city, yet one full of contrasts and surrounded by small towns with a more rural setting and a close connection to nature; at the same time, I was able to observe an industrial landscape shaped by steel and cement production. Perhaps this is why I’m interested in the theme of landscape as a central focus; I’m also interested in the relationship between what we humans build that is, our homes and cities—and nature and other living beings.
