In this piece, which is part of the Vestigios [Vestiges] series, I explore tissue paper as both material and language to construct a series of shirts. Its fragility, lightness, and transparency not only shape the form, but also imbue each piece with meaning. The shirts appear as recognizable presences, displaced from their function, suspended in an unstable balance between permanence and disappearance. Tissue paper does not hold: it transforms. It turns the solid into something light, and what once protected into something precarious, opening up through that gesture a reflection on memory and its wearing away.
